Stage Experience: I have experience with all aspects of the stage crew experience, and typically try to learn a show and the nuances of the players prior to the final performance. Most recently I have photographed musicals for Susquehanna Township HS and Bishop McDevitt HS in addition to providing cast head shots, character shots for concession fundraisers and commission-based fundraising from photo sales.
Floor and Field: Performance photography involves capturing a variety of shots, not just capturing individuals (often out of context to their work/equipment) from the floor level. Although it’s been many years since I’ve marched drum corps, experience with the marching arts as a fan and performer gives me the ability to follow formations, show flow and individual performers whether this is a field performance or an indoor program. I offer services to groups for single shows or the season and can provide services for all groups when hired by a show host. Large event example: Gettysburg Cheer For Charity 2013.

Roller Derby: 2019 was the year of many different leagues and tournaments 2024 marks my 11th year of shooting. In addition to local tournaments, sanctioned tournament experience includes WFTDA Battle of the All Stars, the Continental Cup East when hosted in Lancaster, PA, RDCL Battle on the Bank as hosted by Penn Jersey Roller Derby, and various other events hosted by Penn Jersey, State College Area Roller Derby, and Philly Roller Derby Juniors. Leagues I am currently shooting with include Dutchland Rollers (Lancaster, PA), Reading Roller Derby (Reading, PA), Philly Roller Derby Juniors (Philadelphia, PA), Rockstar Roller Derby (Pottstown, PA).
Personal/Themed: Themed events and individual shoots throughout the region including Omni Lens Studios in Ephrata, PA and mermaids on the beach in Coney Island, New York. I’ve worked with several members of the Circus Siren Pod on an individual basis and had the opportunity to spend a day with the pod during Summer 2019 and shoot in and out of the water. In 2023, I traveled to Australia for the solar eclipse and had some time to shoot around Sydney Harbour and the Perth Central Business District. Other eclipse trips include Nashville, Boston, Nevada and Niagara Falls.
Additional highlights: 2010 head shots, album art and documentary photography for Bob Barry’s CD Dream Passages. Reenactment of Washington crossing the Delaware and the Christmas invasion of Trenton. This annual event draws photographers and camera crews from Philadelphia area media, the New York Times, and Associated Press to document this annual reenactment for the volunteers that take part in the program and for the use of the Washington Crossing Historic Park. Although no longer shooting with special access, I attend the event during the years my schedule and weather conditions allow and put my knowledge of the crossing to use to produce content comparable to the AP and capture unique images not published by the press.
